What Foundayo is
Foundayo contains orforglipron, a small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist: a medicine that acts on the hormone system involved in appetite regulation, in tablet form rather than a pre-filled pen. Eli Lilly makes it, and the MHRA authorised it on 10 August 2026 for weight management in adults.3

In its main clinical trial (ATTAIN-1), the highest trial dose of orforglipron produced an average weight loss of 12.4% of body weight over 72 weeks, compared with 0.9% for those making diet and lifestyle changes alone, as reported in the UK product information. Average trial results are not a prediction of individual results.1,2
In the same trial, 59.6% of people taking the highest trial dose lost 10% or more of their body weight, compared with 8.6% of those on placebo.2

Side effects
The most commonly reported side effects are digestive: nausea, diarrhoea, constipation and vomiting, most often while the dose is increasing.
